Scarlett Elenor and Springwater Sadler’s Wells, led by Craig Elenor to qualify for the Horse of the Year Show.

It was a triple Yorkshire success story when young Scarlett Elenor and the Dartmoor Pony, Springwater Sadler’s Wells qualified for the prestigious Horse of the Year Show.
The seven year old pony was bred in Yorkshire at the Springwater Stud in Pickhill, near Thirsk by the Tyler family, qualified for HOYS at the NPS Area 4 show at Tockwith in Yorkshire, and was led by Yorkshire based producer Craig Elenor and ridden by his daughter, Scarlett.

Based in Easingwold, Craig runs a busy and successful yard with his partner Sara Parrott who said: “It was definitely a day to celebrate for Yorkshire and also extra special as it was the first time Scarlett had ridden Welly, as he is known at home.

“He is normally ridden by Ness Kerr but as she couldn’t make the show Scarlett stepped in at the last minute and took the HOYS ticket in the Lead Rein Mountain & Moorland qualifier. Although Scarlett qualified him, Ness will take the ride back at HOYS and is very much looking forward to the occasion.

“Welly really is a little superstar and there was so much connection to Yorkshire on the day.

“He is in great condition and is fed on TopSpec AntiLam and TopChop Lite as he is a good-doer and maintains plenty of condition even in the busy showing season.
“We are all looking forward to HOYS where Craig will lead Ness and Welly on the first day of the show.”
